About Me
As I started my education and career, I knew I wanted to become a sideline reporter. Naturally, people would then always say to me “oh so you want to be the next Erin Andrews?”, to which I would reply “No, I want to be the first Michaela Bennett.”
You see, this comes after listening to one of Matthew McConaughey’s famous speeches. McConaughey described how his hero was himself, but in ten years. He states that it’s because this doesn’t allow him to compare himself to someone else or their accomplishments. His hero is himself in ten years and he knows he’s never going to attain that, but it always gives him something to keep chasing.
Ever since then, I have always said I want to be the first Michaela Bennett. Well, this caught the attention of Erin Andrews when I tweeted “I hate when people say, “Oh you want to be the next Erin Andrews?” No, I want to be THE FIRST Michaela Bennett.” Erin herself then replied “Ok...ok!! Respecting.”
While I am striving for a similar position, I don’t want to limit myself and I know that I have a lot of room to grow.
